Rescue Rangers - Guitars and Dust Dancing (2008)

Is it because they attended the festival Psychotic Reaction in Paris last June that it would limit Rescue Rangers to the status of a proud representative of the French scene stoner option creeks? Personally, and because it is my opinion that I express here, I do not think so at all. It would be very simplistic and ultimately false. More than stoner music could be summed up by our rangers to shock a digest of what the 90s produced the best in rock.

In singing, the guitars, the compounds found large sips of what was then called grunge and is a real pleasure to hear again tunes not necessarily sacrificed on the altar of power and returns it. One thinks of Pearl Jam , Soundgarden, and when the tone hardens (Black as Bastet, Spear) is not far from the huge Frogstomp Silverchair. Then screened to huge grunge Rangers? Well, no, since you said that trying to classify them would be very gear! The group is simply rock, full stop, bridging between the salutary glorious 70s and 90s to the legacy still too hot to be just really appreciated. This mission, proudly claimed by the trio leads inevitably to frolic alongside the Foo Fighters and other groups highly commendable and venture into more psychedelic and wandering like the beautiful In Cathedralica.

Obviously a light fragrance stoner fleet beyond it on the album (the time of a Scary Black Holes (sun?) For example, a King Cobra or fast track which closes the album) and even If it makes a bit cliche and it's always a little c * n to say, these guys really deserve to be appreciated live, because that's where we really made aware of their talent and their energy!

So is this mean that our Marseille are eligible to carry the gospel to the 4 corners of the planet? There is little doubt that, and it is no coincidence that Alan Douches (Mastodon, Sepultura, Hatebreed) acted as the mastering of the album. The only downside? The Rescue Rangers, at least in the States, which is a series Disney Chip and Dale are the heroes ... We hope that our two mischievous squirrels are not barbarians at our shadows!
